I receive a response to my email to the SR today. She said she didn't send any correspondence to Navy Fed and that the mix up may have come from Ryan's Settlement Administrator who was not aware that I had chosen to use a different Settlement Agent. So she (the SR) quickly sent an email to the Settlement Administrator notifying her of my choice. So all is well....I may not be their favorite customer, but it's okay--I'm there to build and buy a house, not make friends. The bottom line is what I care the most about---and the bottom line is I'm going to save money by not using their preferred attorney. Perhaps we'll use that money to buy the French door refrigerator I want :-)
